GEOFF WHITMAN
Geoff's journey into the world of live music was ignited at the age of eight when he was "kidnapped" by his teenaged babysitter to see The Kinks at SUNY Oneonta. From there, Geoff's passion for live music and the visual arts was sparked, which led him to ditch and hitch to Rock & Roll shows all over New England during his high school days in Seacoast New Hampshire.
As a college student in Boston, he witnessed the grunge movement explode before his very eyes, with Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Soundgarden, and Alice In Chains creating the anthems of his generation.
Geoff was always inspired by the photography of icons like Jim Marshall and Bob Gruen, and it was an encounter with a music photography legend backstage at a Pearl Jam show that solidified his decision to enter the world of rock photography. Today, Geoff's photography primarily focuses on rock & roll, street, and the occasional pretty landscape.
